Most of the books are set in summertime when there are long, hot days, perfect for adventures on the little railway across the farm. However, the railway is there all year round, even if it isn’t being used every day.
This book tells the story of life on the railway through one year, from winter to autumn. With all sorts of different activities and fun, each season brings its own character and rhythm of life.
Winter is a time for indoor construction projects. In spring, as it gets warmer, Grandpa and the children are outside preparing the railway for the summer. Then follows autumn: Now what could three children with a small steam train possibly get up to in autumn?…
